For the first plate we have "Mangu de platano verde con huevo frito, salami frito y cebollas." For the second plate we have "Mangu de platanos verdes con queso frito, salami frito, aguacate and cebollas." 4/28/2022 0 Comments Week 94/28/2022 0 Comments Week 84/27/2022 0 Comments Week 7![]() For this week we have "Arroz con vegetales y carne" You will need: vegetables Meat Egg Rice First, you put the vegetables and meat on a pan and mix it up with your seasonings. When you think the vegetables and the meat are ready, you are gonna add the rice, when the rice is ready you add the egg and wait until is done. Here is the final product: 4/27/2022 0 Comments Week 6![]() For this week we have "moro de habichuelas con pollo guisado" This is very popular in the Dominican Republic. For this dish you will need: Seasonings Chicken Beans Rice. First, you put water with salt on the pot, add the beans and seasonings, and let it cook for 5 minutes, then add the rice. wait for 20 minutes and it would be ready For the chicken, you are gonna put it on a pot or a big pan. First, add oil and wait until is hot, add a spoon of sugar, when adding the sugar, wait until you see it brown (Be careful because you might burn it, so just a few seconds), and then add the chicken with water and seasonings. You have to add water every time you see the chicken is getting dry, then, you wait until you see a medium tick sauce. The chicken should be ready in 20 minutes. The final result should look like this: 4/20/2022 0 Comments Week 5![]() Today we are going to cook “Arroz blanco con habichuelas negra y carne de pollo” this is the most traditional dish from the Dominican Republic. This is mostly eaten for lunch. First we put the water in a pot and let it come to a boil. Next we add the rice and let it cook, stirring every minute for 3 minutes. For the beans, we open the can and put half the beans in the blender and the other half in a pot. After blending the beans in the blender, we add them to the beans in the pot. Then we add the seasonings. The seasonings for the beans are minced garlic, tomato paste, chicken bouillon, and a half of green pepper. After adding the seasonings, the beans cook for about 10-15 minutes. For the chicken it’s just a boneless chicken breast that is grilled Here is the final product: 4/20/2022 0 Comments Week 4![]() For this week we have "mangú con revoltillo de huevo y salami". This dish is a traditional dish from the Dominican Republic. We eat this for lunch or dinner! For this recipe, you will need: Green plantains Salami Eggs Butter Milk First, you need to peel the green plantains, put them in a pot with hot water with salt (to taste) and let them sit for 15-20 minutes. For the salami, you have to cut it and put it in the pan with hot oil. For the seasonings of the salami and eggs, you are going to add bouillons, a little bit of salt, tomato and let it cook for about 5 minutes until you see the eggs are cooked. When the plantains are ready you are going to drain the water (keep the plantains in the pot) and add butter, milk and salt to taste. When you see it kind of creamy you can serve it and eat. First, you put oil on a pot, put the salami there, and let it cook for 5 minutes. with the seasonings When the salami is done we are going to put 3 cups of water and 2 cups of rice. We start to move the rice every minute for 3 minutes and then we let it there for 20-25 minutes. ![]() Here is the final product!
