4/20/2022 0 Comments Week 5![]() Today we are going to cook “Arroz blanco con habichuelas negra y carne de pollo” this is the most traditional dish from the Dominican Republic. This is mostly eaten for lunch. First we put the water in a pot and let it come to a boil. Next we add the rice and let it cook, stirring every minute for 3 minutes. For the beans, we open the can and put half the beans in the blender and the other half in a pot. After blending the beans in the blender, we add them to the beans in the pot. Then we add the seasonings. The seasonings for the beans are minced garlic, tomato paste, chicken bouillon, and a half of green pepper. After adding the seasonings, the beans cook for about 10-15 minutes. For the chicken it’s just a boneless chicken breast that is grilled Here is the final product:
